How can I tell if I’m at a beginner or intermediate tennis player?

I want to take classes at a tennis center, they have beginner, intermediate & advanced.
I know I’m not advanced but i don’t know if I’m a beginner or intermediate. I know the basics & have been playing.

What must you be able to do to be intermediate?

Get someone who knows tennis quite well to judge you.

Normally classes like that should have tryouts, then they see which difficulty suits you best.

What is the best type of tennis racquet for a beginner in tennis?

You have to be able to hold a rally for at least 5 min. You have to be okay at serves. And you have to know the rules of the game and the basic strokes.

Basics is like learning forehands, backhands, etc. An intermediate class helps you improve on those areas by playing others, having fun games sometimes, and all that kind of stuff. Do intermediate, it seems like that’s what you’re looking for.

Start at the bottom. Join a novice tournament. If that level seems to easy, join a satellite tournament. The next level is open, and with the point system being as it is, national players even play those.

If you can play for long rallies, I think you are in intermediate level.
